Late this afternoon it started snowing.
I love the contrast of the red berries and the snow.
It very quickly covered the garden but luckily an hour later it had stopped. I say luckily as it doesn’t take much snow to cause chaos on the road outside our house.
It does look pretty though.
Edit
It is now just gone five o’clock and the snow is coming down thick and fast. Oh dear!
It is now just gone half past five and there is a stationary queue of cars outside our drive.
Looks very pretty, but hope we dont get any. Hope the girls are ok.
Take care driving tomorrow, especially if it freezes tonight.
The girls are fine. The snow has now stopped but the traffic out front is still at a stand still. Thank goodness we don’t have to drive in rush hour. It is due to freeze tonight but no more snow. We will take great care driving tomorrow.
It does look pretty but it is a nightmare on the roads isn’t it! We don’t have snow here (as yet) but it’s been raw today! xx
It always causes a nightmare on the roads. We are forecast frost and very low day time temperatures for the coming days. Hope it doesn’t last too long. xx
We had a covering but, talking to my uncle in Maidenhead, you have fared worse. Today (Sunday 27th), we have bleaching rain and very cold wind: most of the girls are not venturing far from the comfort of the hen houses; I changed the bedding two days ago, just at the right time!
We had a couple of inches of snow and the next day we heard stories of people taking many hours to get home from work. We are surrounded by steep hills which is what was causing the problem. Today (Sunday 27th) we have had several hail showers on and off all afternoon and it’s also very windy and like you a very cold wind.
