I thought a fish treat would be good for the girls as a bit of extra protein to help those feathers through for some of them. It also gives me a chance to get a group photo as they all come to the patio area for some fish. I put six small dishes on the patio.
Salmon was just hidden behind Sienna in this one.
All twelve girls in shot.
I love seeing all the girls together. They are such a pretty flock.
You have a stunning flock and they all seem integrated nicely now! xx
I am biased but I also think they are a stunning flock. It is lovely that are so well integrated. Notice Speckles stands at the back watching over them in her top girl position and role of mother hen. xx
I did – she’s a funny girl! xx
She is. I have never come across such a motherly hen in all my chicken keeping days. xx
Nice treat for the girls, nice pictures.
I was pleased to get all the girls in shot. They are a pretty bunch.
Beautifully looked after…I miss my gals
Chickens do get into your heart as do all our pets. I wanted you to see my current girls as they are so pretty and are all such characters.
Look at them all!!!!! I have 9 now but yours look like millions ?
Ebony and Flame look massive compared to the Serama’s.
Twelve is my biggest flock yet but as the seramas are so small it seemed fine to go bigger. Ebony and Flame are big compared to the seramas but it seems to make no difference to how they get along or the pecking order. I really don’t think the seramas see themselves as any different from the bigger girls. There is no problem between the different sizes at all.
What an amazing Flock. Great photos. I am jealous that they’re all together!
I am really happy with how well they all get on. Perhaps you should put them together and let them slog it out. It often looks worse to us than it is to them and they sort it out in the end. I know how horrible it can be to watch though. You will get there in the end.
