My lovely husband shopped for and prepared our New Year’s Eve meal. He arranged the food on my Christmas chicken plate.
We had a bottle of champagne gifted to us by one of my husband’s companies and a D.V.D to watch. We were all set for a lovely evening.
And a lovely evening it was. We watched the fire works at midnight and I sang auld lang syne at full volume as always and then we realised it was half past two. How did that happen!
Time for bed and a very Happy New Year to everybody.
How nice, Happy new year to you both, and all of yours. xxxx
Happy New Year to you too Mum and all the family. xxxx
Looks lovely – very similar to my Christmas Eve treat (as we always have most of our family for Christmas lunch, we always aim to get the preparations finished and sit down with something a bit special in the evening on Christmas Eve – feel we’ve ‘earned’ it!)
We wanted something that feels like a treat but needed no cooking. We ate all the seafood from the platter but there is quite a lot of meat, cheese and olives left. My plan is to turn it into a pizza tomorrow.
Blessed, happy, peace filled and fun New Year!
Thank you and wishing you the same.
