Canterbury bells

I think these canterbury bells are such a lovely shade of blue.

Canterbury bells

I am being watched by Speckles and Emerald at the top of the ladder. This isn’t a very big clump of them but I just love the delicate, pale, blue. I think the clump will get bigger each year.

I took this photo a couple of days ago and the rain has now battered them down.

Gorgeous! I love that shade of blue. I have a plumbago in that exact shade of blue.

Very pretty, but I think if you look on Google they are Campanula.I thought they were Canterbury bells, but found out they are Campanula. Canterbury bells, have a much longer bell.

    • I just googled and I think you are right. There are so many different types of campanlula and it says some are bell shaped and commonly called bells but the true canterbury bells are a more solid, less delicate shape. I always thought the tall ones were canterbury bells and the shorter ones campanula but it seems that there are many variety of campanular. I think I actually prefer the delicate shape of mine.
