Yesterday Jackie and I caught up with each other’s girls. All our girls have come through the moult and are looking really good.
Chelsea is in her first winter and so is still laying and has the comb to prove it.
Chelsea is so friendly that several of the photos of her were too close to use. Chelsea and Bluebell could not be more different. All three girls are looking good though.
I think Jackie is ready to add to her flock but she wants to wait until the weather dries up a bit first. We both agreed that both our spaces are wet and muddy and we can’t wait for drier weather. The girls are all happy though, they don’t seem bothered by the mud.
We say, roll on spring.
They all look really good, especially Chelsea. I echo what you say about the rain and thank heavens for the B&Q Diamond card, as I seem to be buying loads of sand at the moment!
I am so fed up with the wet. Only the old part of my run stays dry and makes a good dust bath area. The newer part of the run, despite being covered, can’t cope with this amount of rain. It blows in through the sides and finds any gaps and now that entire area is wet. I dig it over every other day at the moment to stop it becoming compacted and slippery but still it’s horrible. It doesn’t stop the girls going out into that part though and digging around. Butterscotch with her feathered feet is always out in the wet part but what I can I do!
The photos look great and so do the girls.
I love the pictures of Blossom getting her exercise and she does look stunning after her moult.
I echo roll on spring .
I always find it harder taking photos of your girls because they are not used to me sticking a camera in their face like my girls are. They are looking great though. I can only echo again, roll on spring.
Yep. Loitering by the backdoor. Doesn’t matter if they are American or English, they all want what we’re having.
You are so right. The first photo of Chelsea is of her looking through the patio door as Jackie is still inside at this point. As I said on your blog they love to hang out by the doors. They do indeed all want the same things. It is quite amusing.
